i dont really like soy but i fucking love beans. i've even tried soy from dried and all that and I'd still rather have black beans. ever have black bean tofu? top tier.
I haven't had alt tofu of any kind yet but I watch Mary's Test Kitchen.
It sounds like you've never tried edamame! That's what you call a soy BEAN served in bean form. Get some frozen, steam it for a couple minutes, and it's awesome. They're a bit different from brown beans, in a delightful way, but they're definitely beans.
Bean tofu rules. Had lentil tempeh the other day and that was so good too!
