Currently an alpha build but I've heard it has significant improvements in some games over Yuzu/previous forks. This team has been working on it for a while before this release, so this isn't just a logo swap with future plans.

What are some less demanding switch games i can try out on a retroid 5?

I emulated Celeste on a very similar spec device. Assuming you haven't already played. Could also try Metroid dread, Hades, or echos of wisdom but I haven't tested those on my 865+ device.

Also try Turnip drivers for better performance if you haven't already gotten them.

Obviously an older thread at this point, sorry, but Mario Kart 8 deluxe actually just got a new update (3.0.4) that allows it to run NCE (native code execution) that lets it run much better on devices like yours. I've heard it works well on the RP5 now- might be worth a look if Mario Kart interests you at all.

I'm not sure how beefy the R5 is compared to the switch but Rayman Legends slaps and isn't very intensive at all

It's a snapdragon 865 with 8 gigs of ram, and seconding this rec it's very easy to run and a great time.
