I’ve been to two of these recently.
Unfortunately, when you get to a certain age, you start attending funerals for your ex-coworkers.
A few of the people you would like to see show up there if they still live close.
Happened to me as well.
My only office buddy and Star Wars geek like myself.
We said goodbye on Friday after work and a little talk about catching up with Skeleton Crew over the weekend, I come in Monday morning to an email that said he passed away over the weekend.
No explanation, no clue what happened.
We're in our mid-late forties.
