That's nonsense, cars will always be useful in both rural areas and cities. Goods and services must be delivered to their destinations at a scale and granularity that trains and bikes simply can't attain. Your whole anti-car movement amounts to tilting at windmills.

I mean, the idea is that we also change our logistics and infrastructure. We've done that before, and trains did come before cars. Personally I don't think we'll get rid of cars entirely, but we can certainly reduce the amount we use if we make some sensible changes.
