MODERATORS
You definitely can - might not hurt to have a little Star Wars knowledge prior to watching it, but it's a good standalone.
If you do watch Andor (and enjoy it), you should check out Rogue One afterwards as the two very much tie together and have a similar 'vibe'.
The only 'downside' of having Andor (and Rogue One if you watch it) be your only exposure to Star Wars is that the rest of the media is very different and might not be as enjoyable.
