A year and a half long operation to destroy around 10 planes that weren't even used in the war, totally worth it.

They were strategic bombers, specifically exposed for inspection and surveillance because they were part of nuclear capabilities. Destroying any of them is such a massive escalation towards MAD that I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole situation.

At least during the cold war times they used to understand that a nuclear holocaust would not be in their interest. Seems like that understanding is now completely gone.

I genuinely think that The US either beilivies no one would ever nuke them, so they dont need to care, ot thats its more braud, and they think no country will ever directly attack the US.
