Carney attended the inaugural mass for the new ope after he started office. He did so as a Catholic, not as a PM.

That's not an explanation of why he should be barred from office.
He's Catholic, but he's not trying to make Canada Catholic. Trudeau and Poilievre are also Catholic. In fact, every single PM of Canada has been either Catholic or Protestant.
That’s fine, as long as they don’t act on it
All public employees are supposed to leave their religion at the door when they leave their house but elected officials should face more scrutiny than unelected workers
As PM is our highest elected position, they should leave their religion on election night and pick it back up when they leave
Apparently there is no such prohibition in Canada. Even leaders are free to worship according to their faith.
I suppose it’s a matter for the courts to ensure reasonable limits for section 2 of the Charter is upheld
Freedom from religion comes with freedom of religion in Canada.
He's conservative, I'm not surprised he's religious.
