Even though my kids aren't old enough to be on it yet, I regularly talk with them about what it is and how it "tricks you", with things like "People only post the happy parts of their lives and not the bad stuff" and going over algorithms and what they do. I cannot stop them from getting on social media forever, but I can sure as hell teach them about its problems ahead of time
