Nah you're a little out of date there. The classic Xbox is in the process of transitioning to being a retro console, so you're looking at £30-£60 depending on condition (about $40-$80), and probably in a few years, more than that. Also the Xbox disk drives are notoriously shitty and many have died, so actual working models are either rare or refurbished at this point—that's only going to balloon the price over time

The 360 was the winner in that generation and it's now where the PS2 was about 5ish years ago, far too much supply, very little demand. I can take my pick of several different models of 360 all for about £20 (about $25) today apparently

You might be right. Original Xboxes still seem fairly cheap on ShopGoodwill, but I haven't been pricing them elsewhere, given the fact that I already own one. (It'd be nice to get one of the earlier models that are easier to hard mod, though. I've got a 1.6 which is mod-resistant, but at least doesn't have a leaky clock capacitor.)
