Thank goodness Ontario scrapped that carbon tax back in April 1st, 2025 with the expressed intent it was to lower the cost of fuels and save consumers money. /s
The action, was intended to reduce inflation and lower the cost of living as it was put.
I guess gas stations did not get the memo and instead pocketed the difference?
I was explicitly told "axing the tax" would make gas essentially free. How and I supposed to take my Freedom-F-150 to costco now?
