Add it as a alarm.
Boomerang the email reminder.
Write a post it note.
Make a chat reminder that will fire a few days prior to the event.
Make a chat reminder that will fire the day of the event.
Tell my wife.
Then a day later a call denotes that it's been rescheduled, and you have to resynchronize all your reminders. Oh, and you realize a schedule conflict moments after you confirm and hang up.
Lucky they rescheduled though, you put it in on the wrong day anyway
