Agreed. If I'm eating in, I'll generally tip depending gin service. But the only service is handing me a bag to go, what's the point in a tip?
The kitchen staff isn't doing anything above and beyond the cost of the product in my opinion. I'm buying sushi I'm expecting to pay x amount for x product of y quality. The only way for them to go above and beyond is to give me free stuff on the plate but that just feels like buying more food with extra steps
