It's been weeks since I began reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck and I've been seriously slacking on reading this book.

I've decided to sit down and knock out 150 pages today. Wish me luck!

John Steinbeck books are everywhere: in giveaway boxes, on my father's bookshelf, in every library. I'm ashamed to say that's the only reason I have never read any.

How does he fare in readability?

I was the same way. So many recommendations for Of Mice and Men and The Grapes of Wrath kept me from reading.

I'm glad I allowed myself to be influenced to read this work. So far it's a wonderful read. It's very descriptive and the analysis of the characters, I think, is good.
