Fuck it, just get a whisk, a bucket, a sack of modified corn starch, a couple of gallons of milk, a bag of sugar, and some vanilla extract/chocolate powder and go to town
You should grow your own corn first.
Listen, if I'm using modified cornstarch it's precisely because I'm too lazy to even heat the milk. But the ingredients above can get you to making a swimming pool of pudding for pretty cheap if you can figure out how to mix it.
