I am obsessed with My Summer Car. I thought it was a tuber bait slop game for the longest time but it's actually so much fun.

I was playing that game last week and spent two in game weeks getting the money together to get all the parts repaired and/or replaced. Got the car fully assembled, and went inside to get the mirror dice as the finishing touch before starting it for the first time. Noticed one of the breakers for the house was out, forgot to turn off the power and killed myself before I could start the car.

I'll never play it again.

Oof. Yeah, there are a lot of deliberately placed footguns. I got stung to death by wasps once, run over by trains multiple times, died in car accidents after getting too confident, etc.

I did read some guides and I do save-scum sometimes (for car damage, etc). It's neat how subsequent runs get more efficient simply because you know more.

To be fair, I am exactly one of those people who watched some streamers play this game and it is one of the better ones, I wouldn't consider it slop. IDK its the combination of the sim aspect with the downtime between tasks and some mundane tasks, along with the vulgarity, its quite unique I can't think of many other games like it.

That said I can't imagine playing it alone, I'd prefer even something like Derail Valley as a better focused sandbox sim.
