MODERATORS
Haven't watched the youtube video yet but 'the day after' was a pretty good movie on this
The Day After sugarcoats or fails to show quite a lot of the reality of a nuclear war, notably people dying of radiation sickness and then leaving a lot of the future up to a speculation/meeting scene where the reality of agriculture is only talked about rather than showing the inevitable famine.
What about Threads
Threads is fantastic.
Threads is easily the most horrifying and depressing movie I’ve ever seen. The nuclear conflict in the film is also a metaphor for neoliberalism.
I seen people have nightmares from that movie while cheering on what israel does to people in Gaza who live in conditions as bad as that
