I still don't understand how some people find this controversial given how important mobile devices are to people now.
A lot of people think fragmentation of digital markets will deliver a worse experience.
While it does add a tiny amount of friction, the trade-offs are massive.
I think it's mostly just the "China = BAD" factor because of Tencent's part-ownership.
Maybe it's because Epic sucks and are total hypocrites. Google absolutely deserved to lose in court, but Epic and Sweeney can go to hell.

Hah, indeed. That Epic is long dead, just like the Id that made Commander Keen and the Blizzard that made Rock n Roll Racing.
Epic might be most extreme example of the three, it has at least four periods that might as well be completely different companies.
TIL Jazz Jackrabbit was made by Epic! I thought the only game by Epic I had played was Unreal Tournament. I have fond memories of spending hours in both those games. Didn't play Jazz Jackrabbit 2 as much, but I remember I liked the soundtrack.
