In principle, I also don’t have an issue with marriages of convenience as long as everyone involved is upfront about their intentions. I just don’t think it’s wise to be financially dependent on another person if it can be avoided, for your own security. You need to think about what will happen if your partner starts imposing conditions on you that you don’t like, becomes abusive, cheats, wants to divorce you. I am not saying this is guaranteed to happen to you, but that it’s good to be prepared for any outcome. No one thinks it will happen to them until it does. The longer you stay out of the workplace, the harder it will be to find work if your marriage doesn’t go as planned - both because of age and lack of experience.
