I have heard all of these jabs being made at asshole politicians, and they really say nothing except that the insulter believes that making fun of a persons appearance is okay.

Is wearing a hairpiece something that should be mocked? Why? Is it peak comedy when a man is elderly? If a woman does not fit into specific gender norms, is calling her a man okay? Because when we do this online it is guaranteed that the target of our jokes will never see them, but someone else might. A young girl with more slightly hair on her forearms than her friends. A man who is starting to bald. A woman who is aging naturally. And what they are being told is that should be ashamed. Because the insults have nothing to do with the actions that those bigots have made, or the things that they say. They only care about looks, and I think we can be more inventive than that.
