Her siding against Israel is hardly as surprising when you remember her past.
My loose theory is this: the whole MAGA movement is powered by people who (rightfully) believe the American system is broadly working against them. As a result, they distrust any authority or expert on anything and accept the first contrarian viewpoint they hear. I think there's a possibility that MAGA politics has gotten so widespread that she's too contrarian to accept it. I doubt she's actually seeing the world as it is, but there's a possibility she's become more open to other contrarian narratives. We'll see if that's true. Luckily, I'm not a constituent of her's so I don't have to think about it that hard.
