MODERATORS
Try out the Firefox fork Zen. It has vertical tabs, split-tab view, workspaces to group sets of tabs, and works with firefox containers for creating isolated tabs if needed for multiple accounts and such.
I don't believe it has full size tab previews like your screenshot though.
You can also try Floorp which has vertical tabs and mouse gestures.

Floorp looks pretty close - I think I could work with this. The documentation is not terribly specific but it's worth a try at least.
Yeah, easy enough to poke around to see if it's a good fit!
Really appreciate the help. I know I need to switch off of chromium but I've tried Firefox serveral times over the decades and disliked it.
