Yea I agree. It’s a confusing musical chairs of terminology going on.

“If poles experience racism, it’s not really racism because they’re white. If they experience racism anyway it’s because they aren’t white.” Not making sense lol. I don’t see the explanatory purpose in hyper specifying racism just to exclude people who visibly appear white even when the character of the situation is extremely similar to any conventional racism. Race is not a purely biologically property of humans - it results from a social phenomenon of racialization - so having light skin does not inherently make someone white. I’m kinda scared to know what that user thinks about Irish people who undoubtedly experience(d) racism.

I can appreciate their stance with regards to Polish Americans, because they're fundamentally the same as any other white American, but they don't seem to realize a world exists outside the borders of their country where ideas of racism and racism might be different.
