So many things converge at that horrific god valley.
Its unclear whether those twins are Garling's or worse ......... Oh god
The villager says that daddy is away, so that's either referring to Garling or some third party character we don't see. It's possible that in the incident at God Valley, the twins are separated from their birth parents and Shanks goes with Roger and Shamrock with Garling.
Twins yeah sure but its not clear whether they are garling's kids (even if he took shamrock). That whole island was probably enslaved in that incident including those two kids. Beyond that I don't know.
