BLS revision shows annual hiring was overstated by 911,000 jobs
Turns out there was nearly a million less jobs then previously thought
i applied to about a thousand jobs over the course of 2 years but i gave up, it was ruining my mental health
no one wants to hire someone who needs disability accommodations
Yeah I worked through trying to get accommodations at work, got a small fraction of what I asked for, and have been suffering since. It’s probably in my head, but I feel like it mostly made things worse. This is why people suffer in silence; at least that way there’s no retribution
they say that they're very accepting and accommodating, but at the end of the day a capitalist will never do something that'd hurt their bottom line. making money is way more important than throwing scraps to the people making them that money
It’s been a very humbling experience -was diagnosed later in life and mask/present as “typical”. Seemed to go:
At least when I was delusional, there was less self loathing
Appreciate it. At least we can try to use the experience to help others!
But at least the whole process was also dehumanizing
This is real, the moment I say I have Autism, I'm not getting hired and it fucking sucks.
Been volunteering in Community Radio for a while now, it doesn't pay but it's at least shit to tide me over, but atp I doubt I'll ever have a job that isn't volunteering, thank god for parents and the albeit small Canadian Social Safety Net.
Oh yeah that happens a lot in TERF island ngl, to be honest i think most porkies kinda just want to send all Neurodivergent people to these "Camps of Concentration" where they can be put in a "Chamber of Gas" and euthanised.
