Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !askusa@discuss.online

A Zojirushi rice cooker. For years, I had been using the crappy $20-30 ones, and they just don't make rice as well. And they tend to break. The Zojirushi makes perfect rice every time and I've had it for more than a decade now.
The x220 will never die.
Love my Zojirushi bread maker. The best I've ever had.
I’m ~~stop~~ still hoping to find one at a local thrift store that somebody bought during the pandemic, used for a week or two and then donated because they’re not serious about homemade bread.
If you don't have one the, the Zojirushi Vacuum Insulated Mugs are the absolute best. Keeps coffee hot longer than any other thermos I have tried. They even sell spare lids and parts so you can replace the rubber gaskets if they start to wear out.
I loved mine but honestly it works ‘too well.’ I usually put an ice cube in my coffee just before I would drink it so it could cool down to a drinkable temperature otherwise it would be still be at brewing temperature 5+ hours later.
I do! Also their thermos-shaped lunch box. I can pack a full meal--main dish, side dishes, soup, and have it stay warm. Super convenient if you like to have rice, a main dish, and a small soup like I do.
They're really just a good brand that makes good products.
Tiger was always my go to. 20+ years easily. Zojirushi is my current and it’s at 13 years going strong.
