This is some stupid bullshit. Extrajudicial Brownshirts disapearing people and a breakdown of law and order by fascists, and we're pretending like its not hapening.
Shit's fucked yo.
As much as I agree that the news I've read from the USA is absolutely nuts... The USA is huge and I'm sure you could travel to some random place and see non of this sort of thing. It's the same sort of thing as when I traveled to Florida one time and didn't see any examples of "Florida man", just regular folks.
All this to say that I understand why Canada hasn't elevated its safety/security level. But I'm definitely not traveling there either way.
Probably, but you have to get past the border nazis first.
Yeah I have family down there, one who is Mexican and on a working visa so what I would consider to be high risk, and they've been travelling quite frequently to and from Mexico since last November. They live in Chicago and said they feel safe doing this.
So yes, I think the news we hear is a lot but for many people it's still business as usual. Like, you said, I sure as fuck wouldn't go down there, but the majority of people travelling through are still doing so safely.
I am guessing it is to keep trump from flinging his poop at us more.
Canada talks elbows up, but the libs suck a good dick.
