it's comforting seeing this sentiment come from a mainstream lemmy instance; i need to reminders that liberals can sometimes detect hasbara too.

nothing about that is disappointing.
out of curiosity: why use a primary instance that's displayed antipathy towards communism?
I caught a temporary ban on my main account on .ml last week and had been meaning to make another account on an instance with less limited visibility for a while anyway, partly so I can preach to people who aren't already firmly in the choir and partly for the wider variety of/increased activity in smut comms
