Wouldn't removing downvotes put us at a disadvantage when commenting and posting on another instance though? Everyone else can downvote us, but we can't downvote anyone. So any advantage we have by removing downvotes is undone by that.
They think we'd downvote posts from our own instance
Proposal: instead of bringing the downvote back, we should get a second upvote option so we can double-upvote comrades
all hexbear votes need to be multiplied by a hundred in order to offset those foreign downvoting hordes
