Translation: corporate caught wind of union organization/thought that maybe they heard the word "union" at some point and went scorched earth on the entire location with the hopes of scoring good boy points with the finance ghouls that are looking over them and licking their lips.
More likely just "private equity has bought us and immediately proceeded to strip the copper from the walls."
