Image is of demonstrators in Italy on October 3rd in solidarity with the people of Palestine as the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank continues; source is this article.

There's way too much going on right now for me to really focus on any one country this week. The aftermath of the fall of the Nepal government has, somewhat surprisingly, reverberated around the world, and not only in countries that are enemies to the West as you'd expect; for example, Morocco's government battle fiercely with Egypt's and Jordan's to be first in line to lick the dogshit off the boots of Zionists, and yet Morocco is currently embroiled in a large protest wave based primarily around a youth unemployment crisis (though their population is also remarkably pro-Palestinian, which generates additional friction). We're also seeing similar protests in Madagascar, Peru, and Paraguay, and perhaps more will come. I'm personally fairly doubtful in the potential for meaningful economic results from these protests (the current imperialist system seems too deeply embedded for a movement that isn't explicitly communist and anti-imperialist to alter conditions), but it is quite possible for new political results at least.

Outside of the developing world, it appears that the unpopularity of western leaders, such as in the UK, France, and Italy, is creating new levels of unrest. In Britain, the political system has become so utterly moribund that even the artificial democracy of a two-party system (more-or-less; the Lib Dems do exist I suppose) no longer suffices, with both Conservatives and Labour gradually sinking. The Reform party appears like it may become the new standard-bearer of the capitalists and petit-bourgeois - that is, the historical wellspring of fascism - and the Left Party (whatever name they eventually choose) may or may not rise to meet the occasion. In France, they're on their fifth Prime Minister in two years, after Lecornu lasted about a month, attempting the liberal classic: promising change, and then appointing the exact same people who have ruled for the last few decades. And pro-Palestinian protests and general strikes have erupted in Italy, in defiance of their rightwing government under Meloni.

While there's plenty of other events (e.g. continuing aggression against Venezuela that might soon erupt into a war) it would be remise of me not to mention the very much ongoing events vis-a-vis Palestine and a potential peace deal there, seemingly supported to some degree by Trump. It could be legitimate, and it could be some big act (very likely the latter, IMO). Both Trump and Netanyahu seem to believe that they're very talented political masterminds, producing manoeuvres and feints that would make Machiavelli blush. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I trust the militant organizations inside Palestine to outplay these American failsons. Hamas and similar groups are not nearly as gullible as the Iranian reformist faction - though few people are!

The Zionist Entity's Genocide of Palestine

If you have evidence of Zionist crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.

I couldn't tell if it was "more fighting in the middle east" or something different. As it became clearly something novel I wondered what the plan was and I still dont have a firm grasp on it. Sometimes I am convinced all this makes sense for the Palestinians, it had to be done, they are brave hero's and lead a path for others. Sometimes it seems like although the initial execution was impressive, all of Gaza has been sacrificed untold suffering; maybe its too much.

Anyone feel free to tell me why I'm wrong, I'm sure I am from all angles.

There was a book I read by a Palestinian fighter, on the necessity of Al-Aqsa Flood. It opened my eyes to the wider context and how every year that passed was another year for israel to amp up security and repression and that waiting under those conditions was nothing more than slow death. The pdf is linked below

You’re certainly not wrong to be concerned for the millions affected by the decision. It’s a human response and I don’t blame a soul for being concerned about the Israeli genocide which we all knew was coming.

thanks! based on the text I looked for plain freely-available links, are they correct? english + arabic

Per the passages you posted it's an ultimate posing of revolution vs reform.

there is nothing to indicate that we will pay a lower price if the attack were after the next 20 or 30 years

It feels very detached because out of the 100ks people who have been killed since Oct 7, like 95% of them would still today be alive had it not happened. Going forward 20 or 30 years, say it is 70-80%, many of which would have died of arguably natural causes after more life. Plus all the homes and lives that wouldn't have been destroyed. Though some of them would've been, many/most wouldn't.

and that will be nothing but a long life wasted in the history of the people and the cause.

A lot of people who aren't "political" find their lives to be unwasted even when unliberated.

So those feel very dismissive of the inherent value of human life.

But I found the section immediately following to be more convincing. It's less dismissive about living certain kinds of lives and more about what is possible and I guess a military strategy.

long quote

The gap in the balance of power between us and the occupation, for those who do not know, was never narrowing, but rather it was constantly widening in favor of the occupation, simply because the scientific, technological, artistic, and economic resources were very abundant in favor of the occupation, and we are not saying that they were scarce for the resistance, but in fact they were very close to zero...! The resistance was literally doing the impossible and achieving great accomplishments that were almost out of nothing, and this is a source of pride and honor, and even a miracle, but the final result is that the gap is widening, and time was not working in our favor at all.

When the resistance reached the manufacture of powerful and effective rockets during 20 years of development, the enemy was advancing faster in the field of the Iron Dome. Imagine if our speed of development had brought us to these rockets before the enemy reached this level of ability to confront this Dome?!! While we were trying to escape through large bursts to mislead the [Iron] Dome and raise its material cost, the occupation had begun to develop the laser system, which we do not know how much it needs to complete to have a trivial air defense system, capable of confronting the resistance rockets effectively, as it will be able to deploy its batteries many times more than the Iron Dome system. Then the question will be: What if the circumstances allowed for the use of our rockets before the development of this system and not after it..

We used to require years to develop a capability in air or sea, while the enemy can develop defenses that limit its impact in a year or two, and the same applies to all fields, especially the field of intelligence, eavesdropping, and the ability to uncover the secrets of the resistance and the locations of its capabilities, including tunnels.

The rockets possessed by the resistance could have suddenly become worthless if a technological breakthrough occurred that would enable the enemy to scan the surface layers of the earth and identify their locations. There was much data indicating the enemy’s efforts in this area.

The same applies if there is a technological breakthrough in detecting tunnels, communications systems, or other systems and capabilities that the resistance has been developing for many years with very, very limited resources, while the enemy confronts it with an arsenal of technology and resources that are available in an unlimited manner.

The legendary crossing plan that took place on October 7 could have become worthless if an engineering, industrial, or water barrier had been added to the border system with the Strip, as a result of a security loophole from which the enemy understood or deduced the broad outlines of the attack.

The success of a very small quadcopter in planting a very precise eavesdropping device in a sensitive location, intentionally or by chance, could blow up the balance of power. Anyone who knows the daily, exhausting intelligence war between the resistance and its enemy knows how many secret projects have been exposed, and also knows how admirable the miracle is that many of them remain secret.

The experience of the Lebanese front, and what surprised Hezbollah with the infiltration of pagers and wireless devices, and the places where political and field leaders were secured, is an example of the ability of any security breach or technological progress to reposition the balance of power in favor of the enemy while increasing the gap even more.

The final and overall result of the power race within the framework of time is that time never worked in our favor and time did not give the resistance any comfort to postpone the clash.

anyway I will keep reading
