Who doesn't know what a f chicane is ๐ ?!(they're prevalent in europe and if you ever watched only 10 minutes of F1 you'd know what it is so maybe an american blind spot?).
I've never been to Europe and I've never had any interest in watching F1. I don't think that's just an American thing tbh.
I've lived in Europe my whole life, my grandma was a devoted fan of F1 an still, I think it's the first time I heard that word. Chicanery, yes, but not chicane. XKCD 10 000 moment, I guess

I used the word a few weeks ago, everyone in the room went "what the fuck is a chicane?"
I'd wager the vast majority of the world has never watched 10 minutes of F1 lol
I'd also guess that the US has a higher percentage of F1 fans than most countries because cars
