It is so funny how much chuds hate marvel slop given how much it caters to right wing politics.
Im not defending it but I kind of understand it. Marvels politics are neoliberal as fuck and uphold the status quo but to many rightwingers that is simply not enough. They want nothing short of fascism so of course the politics of marvel would seem "progressive" in comparison to what many rightwingers and even conservatives imagine the world should look like.
The marvel cinematic universe features an ubermensch running a privatised world police out of his benevolent weapon producing company, and an explicit endorsement of the world view that only the elect can make moral judgement. The villains are always "left" coded, minorities who have been oppressed, victims of american imperialism or a combination of all 3. The lawmaker they presented as a pathetic character in one movie for using gun control talking points to talk about billionaires with nukes was subsequently turned into a nazi traitor just to complete the package.
Literally the only thing that isn't written explicitly for them is that minorities participate in the social order.
There is no media that panders more heavily to chuds on earth than superhero slop. All the shit they "like" is either old and critical of the right (Starship troopers et al) or it is functionally identical to marvel slop there's just fewer minority actors in it.
I dont disagree with you that Marvel has bad politics. But the fact that Marvels politics arent bad enough for the average chud shows just how far right their worldview is. The modern chud wants nothing less than a 3rd Reich style fash ethnostate with everything that entails.
I just disagree that the politics arent bad enough. I think the problem is the visible minorities. First Blood and Starship Troopers are explicitly critical of their politics and they get adulation from that crowd because the main characters are white (Even though the main character of starship troopers isn't supposed to be white) and the enemy is an other.
Well, yes most chuds have no capacity for critical media analysis. The story, setting, or plot dont really matter as long as the actors are white hot and hetero thats really the main aspect regardless of media. Good/bad politics dont "really" factor into it wether chuds like something only if it passes their superficial vibe check.
