I don’t know if this is a good thing…Heathrow is impossibly large and was designed by a twelve yearold
Chongqing probably sees crazy tourism year round. And add any maintenance/parking yards for rail and the size stacks up easily.
Once you start looking for it, god damn does infrastructure (including rail but other things too) take up a lot of space. Over half of any given city is just the stuff that makes the other stuff work.
