There was a lot of branches and minor lines featured in this map, which have since been dismantled:

  • Klang-Kuala Selangor
  • Ipoh-Tronoh
  • Tapah-Teluk Anson (Teluk Intan)
  • Taiping-Port Weld (Kuala Sepetang)
  • Kuang-Batu Arang-Batang Berjuntai
  • Salak Selatan-Sultan Street-Ampang (now taken over by Ampang LRT)
  • Tampin-Melaka
  • Bahau-Kuala Pilah

Also shown are a lot of proposed routes that never got built

Port Weld-Taiping is the first ever KTM line. Also Selangor govt really needs to revive Kuala Selangor and do the Morib railway
