No they absolutely are not, I would guess they are at best the third largest. PSL is definitely much larger and I'm guessing FRSO is too.

The CPUSA is costing on a lot of good work actually communists once made but its modern iteration is actively holding back the american left.

'biggest communist party in America' is like saying 'the coldest day on the surface of the sun'.
PSL is probably the same size or bigger these days. Most of this site can't stand cpusa either, it's structured in a way that you can't fundamentally fix it because there's no mechanisms or levers to pull outside leadership. This site has a lot of PSL members too.
