It took me a while to even realize that my sms app is "Google Messages". So Google talked to Samsung and said "yo, you doin anything with all those sms? lemme take care of it.

I get that you’re alluding to the claim that Google Messages is saving your SMS messages… got any proof?

I don’t know the truth here so I’m legit curious

I know they are handling them, now my sms are associated to my google account.

I have no reason to believe they are not doing with them whatever is more profitable for them.
