You use the coffee maker. Just don't put coffee grounds in it and it makes hot water. Its a bit slow but it does work. Or use the microwave, it works too.

That coffee water temperature is too low, it will make horrible grey dishwater tea.

Right but they're in America so they've probably been given awful tea bags anyway, so it probably won't matter.
