Guaranteed the NATO countries, especially the US and UK, have been engaging in offensive cyber warfare against Russia for over a decade, at least.
If they are then that means one of two things 1. They suck at it or 2.Russia is scary good at blocking it.
The fact that china felt the need to isolate their people from the global net, yet russia didn't makes me think nato just isn't that good at aggressive cyber psyops.
The US literally invented the Internet. It controlled all of the technology for years. It codeveloped it with the military. Every single major tech company has deep ties to the US military. Many of US tech companies are actually spinoffs from military projects. And US tech dominated the global market. And the tech companies are installing backdoors at the behest of the military (Snowden leaks).
The embargos/sanctions against Russia likely creates tons of opportunity for Russia to develop alternative technologies so they are less dependent on US persistent threats, I mean product.
And yet they elected trump, and are clearly being manipulated by foreign agents. They may have invented it but it wouldn't be the first time the creator failed to fully utilise their creation.
A, that's not cyber warfare. That's cyber propaganda. B, Americans don't need foreign influence to be racist misogynist violent jingoistic bigots.
A. I said cyber PSYOPS not warfare and there is an argument to be made that propaganda IS a form of warfare (Eg it is according to russian doctrine). B. There has been a distinct upwards trend in American cuntishness over the last 15 years, well more of a dropping of the mask.
You never said the word psyops in any of these comments. What the fuck?
If things have gotten worse in the last 15 years, I'm certain it is because of the state of the American psyche and not because of some foreign propaganda.

If you look a little harder you'll realise that post is unedited, but if you're resorting to insults I think you know that. Apologies cost nothing, you can admit you didn't actually read what I wrote before getting agitated.
Sorry I didn't realize you changed the subject so that you could steer the conversation towards absolving the USA of its centuries-long violent, racist, genocidal, jingoistic psychosis by blaming it on Russian psyops.

Not a single word in the article even hints at psyops.
I conflated cyber psyops and cyber warfare as both being offensive cyber operations, which was sloppy and unclear of me.
I'm not excusing americas history of racism, imperialism and general douchbaggery. Only pointing out the stark reversal of the trend towards empathy and compassion (Pre 2010) back to full mask off racism and corruption (post 2010).
"Something" Happened in America during the 2010's that drove a distinct increase in the amount of public support for racism and bigotry.
Now I am leaving this conversation, because it has become far more combative and emotional then I am comfortable with.
