Every single person now thinks they're smarter than everyone else. No matter what their political leanings are, they're all smarter than everyone else. Smarter than:
It's absolutely ridiculous and it started sometime around the 90s around when Ross Perot first ran for president and it just got worse with social media.
That's the real problem right now. Everyone thinks they know more than people who spent decades studying and becoming experts in their field.
doesn't help that there are plenty of dumbasshit doctors, many doctors were just...really good at memorizing a textbook decades ago, not necessarily impassioned about X field of study or whatever
like podiatry as a whole, pretty much the entire field of study is a direct result of our shitty default shoe designs fucking up our feet for life. "arch support" is bullshit, foot arch is created by series of muscles, muscles which atrophy when supported
