Dude, have you been paying attention to the gun ban situation? The past 5 years have seen almost all rifles being banned and now they are turning their eyes on shotguns.

Eventually the old 'a bolt action rifle with 5 rounds and a double barreled shotgun fowling piece' claim this is all civilians should have won't exist. Because they will ban almost all bolt guns (because now they are targeting all rifles with detachable magazines, and most bolt action rifles have those. They won't let ww2 bolt guns or recreations thereof be around since those are 'military' guns). For shotguns I guarantee you they will look at a double barrel and also realize it automatically extracts/ejects the shells after opening and say this reloads too fast. They will insist on single barrel guns that would be primitive by 1880s standards.

They are declaring war on sport shootings and despite them using hunting as a baseline most of rhe experts have no fucking idea how hunting works for different game types. And don't get me started on dangerous game. I am not a hunter, but I talk to them. Sport shooting is my game and this fucking sucks. They want to make the sport as hard as possible to get into and as unpleasant as possible to actually do.

Banning guns by action or by name is stupid.
