I mean to be fair that's exactly what white settler colonizers did during Manifest Destiny to claim 99% of America's current land. "Remember the Alamo" = what are all these evil Mexicans doing here in... northern Mexico? One of the main reasons the founding fathers rebelled against Britain was to maintain the value of their land speculation investments in American Indian territory that Britain did not want white settlers to invade.

That's the thing about Trump. For better or worse he's saying the quiet thing out loud a lot of the time.

I would hope it is because he's simply too stupid to do the usual rules-based international order of freedom and democracy incantations but I fear it is rather because the reaction has defeated any meaningful opposition so decisively that they no longer feel the need to pretend to be anything but bloodthirsty Nazis.
