A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
- Be nice :)

Nice! Especially the Liberux, as it seems like it's going to have "jailed" Android for apps that need that environment. Maybe that's similar to what Graphene does with their sandboxed Google Play Services?
If my Samsung is shot (and shut) down during this year, I'm leaning toward a Liberux, Jolla or a Fairphone with Ubuntu Touch, in that order.
Last I saw, Jolla isn't targeting the US markets. I was so sad! I really want one, it looks like a great phone. I'm gonna put in a reminder to check on them every few months to see if that changes.
Despite not targetting the USA market, the newly annunced Jolla Phone is reportedly very global and will support roaming in the USA, meaning it will probably be compatible.
I'll definitely check back in to see which carriers they support once they release then.
