Biden moved the ball on nothing, so here we are.
Yep. He took office with a Covid Vaccination plan, and an Economic Stimulus that both greatly exceeded expectations. For most presidents, that would have enshrined him in the Top 15.
But he also had to deal with the MAGA Problem, starting with holding them accountable, especially their ringleader. Instead, he appointed the most feckless Republican in existence to be his AG, who proceeded to dither and slow-walk the cases, giving MAGA a two year head start to run out the clock, which they successfully accomplished.
That will destroy Biden's legacy, which he, and his cowardly administration, fully deserves. If a Dem ever becomes president again, they should immediately blacklist everyone from the Biden administration.
After Covid and the Economy, if Biden had dealt with the MAGA Treason with courage, strength, and decisiveness, he could have been Top 10. Instead, he'll be bottom 15.
why would they? they've always played controlled opposition for each other, atleast since Neolibs came to power. that's when "the line must go up" became more important than anything elss.
biden put mitch mcconnels hand-picked stooge in charge od the DoJ...lol, can't make this shit up.
Right? Like I don't like trump, but Biden did fuck all but slip into dementia, then they tried to slip in Kamala last minute and they are surprised they lost? Maybe if they had run a competitive candidate we wouldn't be here.
But asking any political party to be responsible for their actions is too much to ask for.
You sound one breath away from "both sides!" Remember, one of them sucks, the other is straight evil.
Sucks is an understatement.
Look, there's enough to go around. If anything, the horrid state of the Democrats should only highlight just how fucking bad the Republicans are.
Like, the bar was set down a mine shaft by the Democrats to begin with. What do you mean the Republicans reached the fucking planet core?
One side wants, enables, and defends fascism. The other side only offers token resistance and refuses to allow any populist or progressive candidates onto the presidential ballot (remember when Bernie Sanders won the vote to be nominated in 2016 and the DNC said "no" and appointed Hillary Clinton anyway?). Biden promised to codify Roe v Wade, un-schedule cannabis, and forgive student loan debt. None of those things happened. Instead, corporations were given priority over the voters, on every issue, for another election cycle, so the hard Rs could continue their corporatism and fascism unimpeded as soon as they were elected again.
When the end result of electing one is corporatism and fascism, and the end result of electing the other is still corporatism and fascism, but four years later, who cares whether there's any technical distinction between them?
