Highly doubt its about user reception, rather that its more about stonks.
And what do you think caused the stonks? The user reception was so bad that they had to pull it back and rework it. It is all about user reception.
Mmm stonks is more about shareholders demanding faster returns. This isnt a cut and dry supply and demand thing (markets havent been supply and demand since the stock market started), its shareholder feelings and ai investment shit.
Would love for any of it to have a shred of logic in it, but if games were for gamers and not stockholders IaP wouldn't exist etc
