I'll give them a pass on that since it seems that the only non-human species in Pokémon world are Pokémon and some plants. 🤷
I really liked when they got silly with the pokemon and everyone else hated it so I'm a little defensiveabout it sorry lol
Oh, yeah, I think an all-WTF-is-this-thing team would be an incredible play style. New Pokémon meta: everyday carry. You get Klefki, an Elekid that looks like a phone charger, things of this nature. Just need a wallet Pokémon and a gun Pokémon or something.
Rotom can inhabit most electronic devices but for a wallet... hmmmm not sure. A gun they have klawncher which is one of those hammer lobsters and he shoots projectiles
