Even though glossy power fantasy stuff always gets foregrounded, I do really appreciate how a lot of Pokemon cards are genuinely artistic, or at least have a lot more personality than you get from most other card games, and that's best exemplified by how many card arts are just the Pokemon hanging out or doing something silly.
So much better than every card looking angry or tough i agree

I hate this pokemon (literal garbage) but I’ve got this card, and been offered trades on it a lot, and always turned them down because this card is so beautiful.
I hate this pokemon (literal garbage)

Sorry I made you sad but am I wrong? Actual Pokemon made of garbage. It’s when I was like, “Did they run out of ideas?”
Corporate needs you to find the difference between these two pictures:

Pidgey is just a bird
I'll give them a pass on that since it seems that the only non-human species in Pokémon world are Pokémon and some plants. 🤷
I really liked when they got silly with the pokemon and everyone else hated it so I'm a little defensiveabout it sorry lol
Oh, yeah, I think an all-WTF-is-this-thing team would be an incredible play style. New Pokémon meta: everyday carry. You get Klefki, an Elekid that looks like a phone charger, things of this nature. Just need a wallet Pokémon and a gun Pokémon or something.
Rotom can inhabit most electronic devices but for a wallet... hmmmm not sure. A gun they have klawncher which is one of those hammer lobsters and he shoots projectiles
I mean the original 151 were mostly just animals with powers... i grew up exactly in that era too so my nostalgia is for the originals. My favourite is moltres but it's just a phoenix. Bulbasaur is a frog with a plant on its back.
Trubbish really spoke to me as a 20 something bachelor living in filth. I would have accidentally spawned one for sure
I wonder if a trubbish can be spawned from my closet full of stuff I never use but keep around for some reason.
The lore on how they exist is foggy i think now someone told me they're claiming it's a cat pokemon that got stuck in a bag but i don't think that sounds right
I'd like to think so. I see Trubbish and Garbador as life inhabiting or life becoming from that which was discarded or forgotten. It isn't ghost type (like Banette and the other possessed Pokemon) but similarly it came into being from something unloved. It's pathetic, but that makes it ironically loveable. Look at Garbador in that image, alone on a rubbish heap but with its large eyes drinking in the sky. From trash we come, and to trash we will return.
That was beautiful and gave me a new view of the trash pokemon. Thank you!
Also he stinky
