Yes, it does.

It helps to understand that your target isn't the bigoted asshat you mock. You're gonna lose him because he was already lost.

This is important to remember in most public conversations, especially online. It especially helps to keep you grounded and prevent you from getting bent.

You’re not arguing with a person, you’re performing to an audience. Talk to the people listening, not to the dipshit trying to rile you up.
