My work place began to offer coupons for different stuff though some sort of partnership and they had WD coupons that give 25% discount for NAS equipment including HDDs.
I have 4 bay NAS with only 1x 12tb drive that I desperately wanted to expand to RAID5 asap but couldnt due to high HDD prices. This coupon saved me 100 euros per hdd. So, pulled the trigger, all hyped up that in a few next months I'll finish collecting my infinity NAStones.
Welcome to today. WD repoted all drives sold out for 2026. It is either almost twice the price for amazon WD/Seagate sellers or used market (I got one recertifie 12tb drive before and it died less than 7 months in).
Fuck me I guess...
