I don't think a war has bigger footprint than all the backrolled environmental protection laws, and pushing coal and big oil does...
Because those effects will be felt over the - naively hopeful wishful thinking of those wars being over in the close future. Right?
Pushing up the price of oil and stopping production could actually be carbon negative.
Maybe the fastest way to stop this war is to note that there are positive environmental outcomes.
