Speaking of striking airports, how many US air-bases are still intact enough to launch aircrafts? And how many have been rendered unusable by Iranian strikes?
No idea beyond that the Iranian announcement that they've hit 14 bases heavily.
It is said (though I have no source to provide right now), that American aircraft launch from Diego Garcia and carriers, bomb at stand-off range (outside the range of Iranian AA), then fly over Arabia, refuel on air, then land in Cyprus (British base), then return back to striking positions with another air refuel. Carriers need to be resupplied at sea or Diego Garcia or bases in East Africa, because their naval bases in the Persian Gulf are too dangerous.
